This institution Ushagram lokasikshaniketan is part and parcel of the Ushagram Vikas Kendra. it is providing vocational training to the rural unemployed youth of backward families of this district adjacent area. Training is provided for both boys and girls in Udyog Bhaban and Shri Nilay. The training is offered in following trades :
Recently Jadavpur University provided technical improvement programme and transferring technology in areas of food processing and honey processing.

We would like to introduce ourselves as Ushagram Lokasikshaniketan (People's College) a registered Society ( Regd under W.B. Societies Regn Act 1961, Regn No S/86247 of 1996-97) was set up to undertake Vocational Training for rural women and youths to enable them to upgrade their skill to be able to earn a decent living and lead independent and meaningful lives. Ushagram Loka Sikshaniketan is a sister organisation of Ushagram Trust and remains an integral part of the Trust. The organisation have been working for the last several years for organising skill training and follow-up programmes for these rural women and the youths in different trades to participate in our production processes. Ushagram Loka Sikshaniketan is a member Fair Trade Forum, India Chapter since 2005 and have been sincerely operating our business norms strictly in accordance with the parameters set by the forum. The basis of our operations are based on the principal of "work more to earn more".
Our Identity :
Ushagram Lokasikshaniketan (People's Collage) a sister organisation of Ushagram Trust, West Bengal, is a non-political, non-profit Society, working in a cluster of villages ( constituting 14 villages of Barasat Gram Panchayet falling within Ranaghat-1 Dev. Block of Nadia District) to bring in desirable state in the lives of women of rural households living below the poverty level.
This organisation directly address basic needs of women in the areas of skill upgrading to develop the capacity of women and unemployed rural youth for self employment.
This organisation's Integrated Women Development Programme Vision is motivated by abiding faith in ideology of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother of Pondicherry.
This organisation produces exquisite quality of Handloom, Batik, Jute-diversified products etc. Fair Trade practices are strictly followed in this organisation.
